About Vanier College
Vanier College is a publicly-funded English language CEGEP located in Montreal. Named in honour of General Georges P. Vanier, a Canadian soldier, diplomat and former Governor General of Canada, Vanier College opened its doors on September 8, 1970 welcoming close to 1,400 students in its first cohort. The Vanier College Crest is an adaptation of the Vanier family Coat of Arms.
Career and Pre-University Programs
Vanier College continues to offer full time pre-university programs and technical career programs leading to a Diploma of College Studies (DCS), while the Continuing Education Department offers credit DCS courses and Attestation of College Studies (ACS) programs, as well as non credit courses and programs.

1. Early Childhood Education (ACS) Program
This Early Childhood Education Attestation is a two-year Continuing Education certification program designed for people interested in a career working with young children in a variety of childcare settings (daycares, pre-schools, extended day programs, and home daycares).

2. Computerized Financial Management Attestation (ACS) Program
This two-year program prepares students to execute accounting, finance and business-related tasks in a computerized environment of a company’s finance or accounting department. Topics covered include manual and computerized accounting, business computer applications such as Word, Excel, marketing, management, finance, entrepreneurship, etc.

This program will prepare students to write, modify, integrate and test computer code for software applications and includes an internship which will provide students with Canadian work experience. Students will gain experience in collaborating on the design and implementation of applications (desktop, web and mobile), implementing information security at the software and environment levels (cybersecurity), developing transactional web applications (E-commerce) and more.
