Certificate in Client Service Specialist - Manitoba Institute of Trades & Technology (MITT) CANADA
Overview Of Program
The new Client Service Specialist Certificate (CSS) is a distinctive program MITT has developed in partnership with the Manitoba Tourism Education College (MTEC). Although students will receive the MITT credential upon successful completion, the ten months of occupational specific, career development and technical courses are delivered by MTEC in a classroom located in MTEC’s facility (Unit 3 -75 Scurfield Blvd). At the end of the program, MTEC will connect students with their numerous employer contacts for a one-month, unpaid work practicum.
Upon graduation, students will receive a MITT certificate and will be equipped with the transferable skills required for front-line employment in multiple industry-sectors. Students will also have the opportunity to receive the following industry recognized certificates in various courses and workshops throughout the CSSC program:
- Emergency First Aid Level C and Level 1 AED
- Winnipeg Ambassador
- Handling Difficult Situations
- WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials and Information Systems)
This program held at MTEC’s facility also includes:
- 4 hours of class time per day (Monday-Friday) for non-work practicum courses
- Industry experienced instructors
- Field trips and guest speakers
- Free parking
- Complimentary coffee, tea, water (daily basis)
All documentation will be provided by MITT to eligible applicants/students.

Entrance requirements
High school diploma (or expected completion within 45 days of the program start date), or equivalent. International applicants must meet the general entrance requirements [PDF] based on country/curriculum of study. Applicants must also meet the program-specific requirements, including:
- Senior Level First Language Literature with a grade of 50 per cent or higher, or equivalent.
*All high school grades will be converted to an equivalent Manitoba grade scale.
If educated outside of Canada, applicants must also have demonstrated English Language Proficiency.
