Master Of Engineering (meng) – Electrical And Computer Engineering

The Master's programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Ontario Tech University provide students with a comprehensive education in the core areas of electrical, computer, and software systems engineering. These programs are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in high-demand fields such as electronics, intelligent systems, communications, control systems, biomedical engineering, power electronics, mobile systems, and embedded software systems.

With industries across the globe increasingly relying on advanced technologies, graduates from these programs will be well-prepared to meet the evolving needs of employers in both industry and academia.

What You Will Learn

Through the MEng and MASc programs, students will gain expertise in various disciplines, including:

Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical and Computer Engineering

The MEng program offers a course-based or project-based option, providing flexibility for students to choose based on their career aspirations.

Course-Based Option

In the course-based option, students must complete 10 courses (30 credits), including 4 core courses required for all MEng students. The program emphasizes the practical application of engineering principles and prepares graduates to work in industries ranging from electronics to communications and biomedical systems.

Project-Based Option

The project-based option requires students to complete 8 courses (24 credits), including 4 core courses, along with a 6-credit project. The project provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout their coursework to real-world challenges, allowing for deeper exploration of a chosen area of specialization.
