Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC), founded in 1978 is Canada’s leading public safety educator, a public post-secondary institution that provides the knowledge, skills, and experience that the students need to make a difference in their community.

• Justice Institute of British Columbia consists of overall 6 campuses: Victoria, Okanagan, Victoria, Chilliwack, Pitt Meadows, and Maple Ridge.
• These campuses are strategically located to support the requirements of their communities and specialized programs.
• The Office of Indigenization of JIBC works cooperatively across the institution to help students, faculty, and while establishing and upgrading relationships with Indigenous Peoples, organizations and communities.
• In JIBC New Westminster, the fitness room is located on the main floor close to the gymnasium.
• The Student Learning Support and Disability Resources Office of the university guides the students to pursue their educational goals with dignity, independence, and full participation.
• The Library at the college has a wide range of books on justice and public safety topics, including more than 20,000 books and 230,000 eBooks.

• JIBC currently does not offer on-campus housing so students are required to arrange their housing and living arrangements for the duration of their JIBC program.
• JIBC provides academic accommodation for Students with documented Disabilities to meet the academic requirements for admission and continuance in their courses, programs, or activities.

• The academic functions at the Justice Institute of British Columbia are classified into departments and schools.
• JIBC offers programs and courses that provide students with qualifications for new and upgraded careers in Public Safety, Health, Community & Social Justice, and Criminal Justice & Security.
• Various courses and programs of the university are accredited to international standards which allow graduates to apply their education throughout the world.
• JIBC also offers graduate-level programs through the Centre for Liberal & Graduate Studies and is supported by the Office of Applied Research & Graduate Studies.
• JIBC has designed liberal courses to broaden the skills and understanding of the learners, and that is beyond the requirements of their area of specialization.
• Liberal courses are offered for the certificate, diploma, and degree programs of the university and it requires credit for completion of equivalent courses from other BC post-secondary institutions.

JIBC accepts applications just twice a year i.e. in September and January.
