How to Book Your Malta Student Visa Appointment
This step-by-step guide helps you schedule your Malta student visa appointment via the Identità Malta booking system and VFS Global platform.
1. Access the Identità Visa Booking Portal
Visit: https://identita.gov.mt/booking-system/ and click on "Visa Booking System".
2. Select Your Country and VFS Center
- Choose your country of residence and click Search.
- Select the nearest VFS center from the list.
- Click on the application link to open the VFS portal.
3. Click “Book Now”
- Choose between Standard and Extended appointment.
- Click Book Now to continue.
4. Register or Log in to Your VFS Account
Create a new account or login. Activate via the link sent to your email.
5. Choose the Student Visa Category
- Click Book Now next to Student Visa.
- Select Long-Term Visa: Standard (€100) or Extended (€150).
- Choose sub-category: Student Visa.
Note: We recommend choosing the standard appointment category. The appointment fee is non-refundable.
6. Pick Your Appointment Slot
Select your preferred date, time, and VFS location. Confirm the slot.
7. Fill in Application Details
Enter your passport number, date of birth, and contact email & phone no. Double-check everything.
8. Make the Payment
Pay using a debit or credit card with international payment enabled. Save the confirmation page.
9. Prepare for the Appointment
- Bring printed visa form, passport, photos, acceptance letter, proof of funds, insurance, etc.
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early.
10. Attend Your Appointment
Submit documents and give your biometrics. You'll receive an interim receipt.
11. Wait for Visa or Residence Permit
Current processing time is 9–10 weeks. You'll be notified when your permit is ready for collection.
