Program Description:
This program is ideal for students with an undergraduate degree looking to enter and become a leader in the growing fields of disaster management, emergency planning and public safety and security. Graduates of the program will have the skills to help communities and organizations to prepare, plan or respond to growing issues such as climate-related disasters, identity theft, pandemics, and other public safety threats. Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a Science-related field (Environmental Science, Biochemistry, Biology…), Disaster/Emergency Management (Public Safety), Engineering, Health (Medicine, Nursing, Health Science…) or Social Sciences (Public Administration, Anthropology, Archaeology, Economics, Geography, History, Law, Linguistics, Politics, Psychology and Sociology.) Proof of completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution with a minimum GPA of 70%. Distance learning is not accepted. A maximum of 8 courses failed in a 3 or 4-year Bachelor's Degree. A backlog certificate issued by the university is required. Gap in between studies: 5-year maximum for students that have been working since completion of studies and 2-year max for students that are not working. A resume in English is required.
