WHY ENROLL IN THIS PROGRAM? Acquire the certified training required to work as a medical device reprocessor in the health and social services field. Our dedicated teaching nurses provide training in a modern hospital ward setting with the latest medical equipment. To learn more, call the ACCESS Centre. The program is officially recognized by the Québec Ministry of Education, Recreation and Sports. The professional training you receive opens doors to many jobs in both the public and private sectors. (PROGRAM OBJECTIVE) Provide students with the skills to carry out the prescribed steps to reprocess medical devices (instruments, appliances, devices or other items) at risk of contamination by microorganisms, in anticipation of their reuse. Train students to communicate with various internal service points (endoscopy service, operating room, care unit, etc.) and external (local community service center [CLSC], medical clinic , etc.). Teach students to communicate effectively with all members of the medical team. Give students the ability to respond effectively to problems and to adapt to difficult situations. REQUIREMENTS Persons holding a Secondary School Diploma or its recognized equivalent, for example, an Attestation of Equivalence of Secondary V studies, or a postsecondary diploma such as the Diploma of College Studies or a Bachelor’s degree
